2024 Scholarship Recipients

Congratulations to the winners of Smart Financial Foundation's Ruby Sue Clifton Scholarship Award! Our scholarship program was created to help members with early financial milestones, such as going to college. Scholarship awards are based on academic achievement, community involvement, leadership and submission of an essay on a topic selected by the credit union. The winners of this award have shown outstanding achievement and leadership during their high school careers, and will each receive a $5,000 scholarship awarded for the upcoming academic year. We also congratulate our two runners-up, Dean Holtkamp of Lake Creek High School and Kathryn Collins of The Woodlands College Park High.

We give our warmest congratulations to the Class of 2024 and wish all of our applicants and scholarship award winners great success in their future academic journeys!

Anatshri Asthana will attend Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) majoring in Engineering.

To be chosen as one of the five finalists is truly an honor, and I am thankful for Smart Financial Foundation's generosity and support towards education. Winning this scholarship will not only assist me financially but will also encourage and motivate me to work hard to achieve my academic and career goals.

Sabrina Gallaspy will attend University of Texas at Austin majoring in Physical Culture & Sports.

I'm beyond thrilled to receive this scholarship since UCLA doesn't provide any financial aid to out-of-state students like me. With the scholarship money, my parents will be able to pay my sister's medical bills instead of stressing too much over my out-of-state college tuition, and I'm again grateful for the committee's generosity in considering me for the scholarship.

Antai Liu will attend University of California - Los Angeles majoring in Computer Science.
